Color Consult: BM Topeka Taupe
Benjamin Moore’s Topeka Taupe, has a red undertone. This dark hue gave me inspiration to make the space warm, yet bright. I decided to style the space using, white’s, Tan’s, pops of chocolate, and Turquoise. It’s a bold theme but it also brings in fresh energy. The Yellow is symbolic of happy times, Turquoise brings the element of water. And the Brown/chocalate brings the element of earth. Whilst the white brings a calmness to the space and help with the ability to accessorize. It’s an eclectic space, that I rendered with elements and color. This is a mood board, which makes it easy for the client to visualize the style before buying the pieces. Each item can be made into a clickable shopping pdf. Revisions can also be made. I added in dark crown moulding and kept the beautiful flooring. It gives Goth meets modern housewife. And it’s the perfect balance of Yin and yang. This client also, booked a space clearing session.
A color consultation prevents the client from revisions later on after installation. With our virtual capabilities, we make revisions in the ‘cloud’ before rendering in the physical. Which allows for creativity, and for the client to see their space transformed and how the final outcome would look and make changes prior to buying multiple items and it being a mistake. Avoid the headache of having to return items or repaint your space with a color consultation to get it right the first time.
